I ordered the Take classic based on reviews on Amazon and Consumer reports. The vendor advised me they would upgrade me to the RC micro 5.1 model since they were our of stock on the Classics. I am very pleased with the substitution. They sound crystal clear and are great connected to the Onkyo HT-RC180. I have cranked the volume up to uncomfortably loud levels with no noticeble distortion. I found setting the subwoofer crossover frequency potentiometer to maximum and the power level to 50% resulted in the best blending of subwoofer to micro speakers. My room was large and I wanted to be enveloped in sound so I purchased a second Energy subwoofer positioned diagonally across the room. This achieved its purpose. I also backed off the power level to 40% on both subwoofers. I would also recommend the Atlantic stands to go with them. They are inexpensive, well made and the speakers mount perfectly although the mounting bolt was almost too short but that could be easily remedied with a slightly longer bolt.Get more detail about Energy 5.1 Take Classic System (Set of Six, Black) (Discontinued).
