After scouring the net for sound bars with built-in DVD, this was one of just a few with this option plus wireless sub. My big screen is Samsung, which I thought would be a bonus. Installation of the soundbar on the wall was easy and straightforward. Getting the soundbar to work was more of a challenge. The instructions were a bit confusing. When reading them, you might think that hooking up the HDMI cable (not provided) would be all that you need. Not so. Be sure that you hook an audio L and R cable from the TV to the soundbar, or you won't get sound.
In terms of the sound, I would give it a 3.5-4 out of 5. My room is about 13'X15', and the sound seems very frontal and centralized, despite the fact that the sub is 13' away on the opposite wall. The sound fidelity is good, but at times the volume is barely adequate even when cranked up. I should add that we have this in our exercise room, and wanted the soundbar so that we could hear the TV during a workout. It does nominally fit this need.
Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, especially since we can watch DVD's without extra wires and an extra box. However, for the price, I would expect a more stellar audio experience.Get more detail about Samsung HT-X810 2.1 Channel Sound Bar Home Theater System.
