I bought this sub after looking at all of the subs at the higher end ($1000 and up). My room is 22 x 24 and I bought it to augment my Paradigm speakers-mainly for music. It isn't as tight as I would like but my system sounds better (yamaha receiver). It's fantastic for movies. I actually watch far more movies now than ever because the sound is so good. Get more detail about Polk Audio DSW PRO 500 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer (Single, Black).
