Purchase JBL L820 6-Inch 4-Way Wall-Mountable Bookshelf Loudspeakers (Pair, Black)

I use these as rear surrounds with JBL S38IIs in front, and an LC1 center, running on an Onkyo TX-SR806. The timbre matching is great and sound quality excellent. Another reviewer called this speaker "marginal" but it sounds like he's expecting a small sealed speaker with a 5-1/2" driver to perform like a large front tower. For its size and cost I would describe this speaker as excellent, with great clarity. Bass performance is respectable. As another reviewer pointed out, a good rap with the knuckles on this speaker tells you that the bracing is phenomenal; they are very solidly built and heavy -- 19 lbs. each. The slim wall-mount profile is also very visually pleasing. No worry about the fact that the mounting bracket won't bridge two studs -- use expanding or butterfly anchors and it's more than you need for this weight.
