Pyle Pro PPHP1598A is a good speaker for the money...far less expensive than the JBL EON or the Behringer and if operated properly, will perform similarly. The trick with the PPHP1598A is to adjust the input level toward the low side and the volume level higher; carefully. The treble and bass adjustments are easy to over-do... in most cases, run them flat and you'll be fine. SIX or EIGHT of these are going to be FAR more effective than 3 or 4 of the JBLs. And you'll still be saving a lot of money.
Running these speakers on stands will significantly reduce their overall bass effectiveness... but they are quite powerful bass punchers nevertheless.
