They don't sound as good as my XQs but they basically have the exactly the same driver for a lot less money. Go to the KEF site for the Specs. After owning these for a few months I am very happy with them for the price I paid. They look like real wood. I crank up very high "VERY HIGH" and hear very little distortion to none at extreme levels. I like KEF's for many reasons. They are well engineered, well designed, and should give you quality sound for years to come. I am using these in a 7.1 Home theater/ media-room setting along with 2-Kef's down-firing subs, 1-center XQ-50, 2-XQ-20's front 2-Kef's DIPOLE sides 4-3005 Satellites rear and these on front along with the XQ's. I know you shouldn't mix and match speakers but it still sounds great to me.
