Low Price Acoustimass 3 Series IV speaker system - Black

got these home and experienced MAJOR distortion... after an hour of guessing i found out they wired one of the cubes wrong inside... the polarity was reversed. After fixing that whole deal, i'd say listening to them reveals pretty decent mids and highs but the bass is iffy. Sometimes it sounds just fine and sometimes it likes to be boomy. Overall the bass just doesnt cut it for me. It's decent but the measly 6.5' woofer just isn't enough to produce deep, satisfying bass. I dont listen to earth shattering bass but i like to know it's there... I'm pretty disappointed that the polarity is mixed... definitely not impressed for a product that is $200 (LOTS MORE when it first came out) but i guess that's the reputation i hear about bose products these days. Lots of marketing hype and poor quality. It sounds okay but by no means is it a "high end" audio item. I used to love BOSE products and wondered why everyone hated them... i see why now. I didnt get a chance to look at the drivers but people say they're made of paper cone... i wouldn't doubt it! Sorry bose, it didn't do it for me this time.. good thing this is for my aunt and not me, i just bought it for her and tested it out

Save Acoustic Research AW877 900 Mhz Indoor Wireless Speakers (Black)

I've owned three sets of these for a year. They all make this CRACK/POP sound when turning off. I keep taking them back, thinking it's defective - Nope. That's just how they are.

Keep in mind they 'turn off' whenever the volume gets low. Even a pause between commericials is enough to make them think they should turn off, so every few minutes I had to deal with that explosion sound.

Got these for the extra two needed to make a full 7.1 surround for the RM6750 Polk system. Very satisfied with the speakers, and of course match perfectly the satellites that come with the RM6750 system.

Cheapest Bose® CineMate® Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System

After reading all the reviews (and I mean ALL!) I went shopping. I looked and listened to Denon - Boston Acoustics - Sony - Yamaha and a host of other systems in the $400 to $600 range. Didn't even consider Bose Cinemate Series II because of all the negative reviews. Well actually it ran 50-50. But after being disappointed with all of the above I decided to check the Bose system out. WOW! Sound quality was far superior as well as the build. Bought it. Installed it. I am amazed at the life like sound. You feel it not just hear it. I had JBL Control Monitors hooked up to my 60" plasma and could not even imagine this small system sounding better. But it does!

I seriously don't know what the critics are talking about.

Bottom Line: If you are looking for the best value, quality & sound for your HDTV in the $400 to $600 range, then you cannot beat this system.

These speakers are fantastic. You really get the best of both worlds. Floorstanding sound that comes in a smaller package. Standing up close, I was surprised at how much of the bass was actually coming from these speakers and not directed through the subwoofer. Cranking up the volume only gets better. All the little nuances come out and these speakers really prove themselves. The only issue I have is with the front speakers. When mounted on the wall, the speaker wires prevent the speakers from being completely flush against the wall. A small groove on the back of the speakers for the wire would enable these to mount flush. This doesn't affect their performance, and basically isn't even noticeable, but if I were perfecting these speakers, that's all I would change. If your space doesn't require tiny little micro speakers, go for these. I purchased the Polk CS10 center channel speaker to go with the Polk ceilings speakers, an 8" subwoofer, and Yamaha RX-V765 receiver. This speaker sounds pretty good for the price. I had Polk speakers before and had been pretty happy with them. My old Polk speakers lasted a long time and sounded great as does this one. I almost went with the CS20 but it was a little bit large for my preference and $100 more, so I went with the CS10 and it sounds pretty good.
