I have purchased a number of wireless speaker systems (such as EOS) EOS 100T1R Wireless Audio System with Universal iPod Docking Base and Remote Speaker (White). The Sound quality was modest, and, they were tempermental as far as setup.

This system, however, at a more economical price, provides a good to very good sound quality combined with flexibiity, ease of use, and, ease of setup.

When this arrived, I dredded having to "assemble" it, and, set it up. My fears were unfounded. Right out of the box, I just plugged in the speakers, used the RCA jack to receive auxilliary output from my computer's sub-woofer speaker back Logitech G51 Surround Sound 5.1 Speaker System (Black) , plugged the 3.5 mm jack into the small transmitter, and, started playing music through the remote speakers. My idea of easy setup is being able to get something to work, the way I want it to work, without having to look at the manual. This has easy setup by my toughest definition of "easy."

There is an "auto-tune" button on these so that once you plug them in, they will automatically tune into the transmitter. You don't have to go through a complicated "tuning" ceremony like many wi fi speaker systems require.

Since the transmitter will plug directly into the RCA outputs from my computer, instead of having to have an iPod adapter, I can just use iTunes directly on my computer to have virtually the same access to my music library as if I was playing from my iPod.

In addition, I could plug the transmitter into my streaming HP media extender HP X280N MediaSmart Connect and play music directly from my backup server from Windows media player playlists.

The range is good as I can place the speakers out by my spa in the woods and they receive broadcasts from the transmitter with little interference.

One other advantage to this system is that the transmitter is not coded to any particular speaker. Once you set up the very simple and inconspicuous transmitter, you can have an unlimited number of the speakers tune into the broadcast frequency.

Why Pink? I support breast cancer awareness. I also like the pink for the hot tub as it tends to provide a little color during snowstorms in the winter. This is also a great color for speakers in my guest rooms for lady friends. And, I like pink!

I give everything a fair chance and have been in the music industry for 10 years and sold retail and custom integration products for over 7 years now. These speakers don't sound horrible by any means, but you don't get what you pay for and that is the bottom line. I put them up against the B&W (Bowers & Wilkins) CCM65's for $550/pr. (the Bose 791's are $600) and they blow them away. If Bose really does want to make whats considered a high-end speaker they need to do some more work. Most people consider any in-ceiling speaker costing them over $350/pr. an (audiophile) or high-performance speaker. Bose needs to either lower their price or greatly improve their performance.

Sound
I would like to start off by saying that I am not an audiophile. That said I think that these speakers are awesome surround speakers. If you are looking for speakers that would go with your mid level surround sound system these are perfect. If you are dropping a few thousand dollars on surround sound then I dont think these are your style but you would probably already know that. Also I'm not sure that these would be very good for the front surround speakers. I have JBL floor stand speakers up front. (Its hard to beat a decent set of floor stand speakers)<- strictly opinion

Installation
As far as installation goes it took me 4 hours to run the speaker wire through the wall and ceiling but once that was done the holes were measured cut and both speakers were mounted in about 20 minutes. No nails, studs, or support brackets. You clip the wires into the connection on the back of the speaker place flush against the ceiling in the hole (a template is provided for the perfect hole size) and tighten the screws on the face of the speaker(it has dog ears on it that flip out and hold tight against the drywall). Then just paint the faceplate the color of your roof and they are seamlessly installed.

Durability
I have had these speakers installed for a week and cant really judge the reliability on experience. I can say that I have had a low level Yamaha surround sound system for the past 10 years and it sounds just as good now as it did the day I got it. Exterior Finish - Got the speakers and unpacked them to an amazing sight of cherry finish with the high gloss back top. My wife absolutely loved it. They are one of the bigger towers and will dwarf even a 40inch TV.

Sound - Listened to a lot of speakers..Paradigm studios, klipsch Icons, reference series, Polk Rtis, PSB image towers and Infinity towers....to me the paradigm studios were the best in sound but they were astronomical in terms of price. Finally it was between these and the PSBs, the klipsh Icons and the polks RTis sounded bright to me. Did a lot of listening with my own cd at Frys, my friends place, bestbuy and a whole list of places. The psbs seemed to have the best mid range but lacked the clarity at the highs these provided. The klipsch Icons were ruled out as even the TSI400s sounded better than those. Since i was looking for beefier mids I went with these and have not looked back since. Running them using an Emotiva amp. I have pushed them to a true 100 watts and they were wanting more. I could not go past this point as I dint want cops at my door...:) needless to say these performed like champs.

For HT these are beasts...provides an in theater experience once the lights go out. Pair them with a CS20 and you will have an extreme front sound stage.

Value - Must buy for the sheer value provided at this price range. An absolute yes to an audiophile who knows the law of diminshing returns or a practical person who wants most from his purchase.

Where To Buy ZVOX 315 Sound Console - Speaker

I bought this to use in place of a full home theater system. I now have it under my 19 inch den tv. It improves on the speakers in the 19" TV, but nowhere near as well as my $50.00 Creative computer speakers when I hooked them up, just for comparison purposes. There is a marginal surround effect but it is very limited. The sound reproduction is better than that of the tiny speakers in the 19" set, but I do not find the sound particularly crisp. The one advantage it has over the computer speakers is that the volume is controlled through the TV. Dayton B652 6-1/2" 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker Pair

I received these Dayton B652 6-1/2" 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker Pair speakers just yesterday but I played them for several hours last night. The amplifier I used is the Dayton DTA-1 Class T Digital Amplifier 15 WPC which works beautifully with them.

I used an Insignia Portable CD Player with Skip Protection, CD-R, CD-RW as my source and I played a number of classical CDs.

The sound is quite amazing for such inexpensive speakers. It would be amazing if the cost were three times their low price. No kidding!

They do seem to work best in a near-field arrangement but they also easily fill up my bedroom with fine sound. I have them placed on 24" high (steel) speaker stands (also Dayton Audio - Dayton SSMB24 24" Speaker Stand Pair Square Steel Base - but apparently not sold though Amazon), about six feet apart, and four feet from the rear wall (and more than that from the side walls).

The bass is not going to "knock your socks off" - but it is certainly not lacking either. I am pretty picky when it comes to my audio equipment and, believe me, this system, which cost less than $160.00(!) all told, is an amazing value.

If you want absolute top quality equipment and sound, you must be willing to pay commensurate prices. But this small system, which could not function nearly as well without these speakers, and still cost as little, is all most people need for normal-sized rooms. In my opinion, the sound quality from these speakers is very smooth and very pleasant. Listening for several hours induced no "listener fatigue" whatsoever.

These speakers would also be an ideal choice for a child's first sound system. He/she will appreciate the quality and, in fact, they will never "outgrow" them. Even if the child obtains "better" speakers some year down the road, that child will ALWAYS find a place for these.

We have 3 of these units at work, and 2 of them have had their power supplies fail, rendering them useless. We've had them about 4-5 years, light use. The characteristics of a failed power supply: the control dial light is very dim, and the volume is stuck at a constant low level (not loud enough to listen to). The power supply is built into the subwoofer, so there's no chance of replacing it unless you want to crack it open I suppose.

Detail & imaging is accurate & fast. Need sub as mentioned in most reviews.

And last but not least by long shot is the video shielding is short of nonexistent. If you have a CRT for monitor (PC or television)beware they will damage if not placed far enough away.
